Patches available to secure WatchGuard Firebox AV capabilities and WatchGuard Krack WiFi vulnerabilities

For the many Verus customers who are using either WatchGuard Fireboxes or a WatchGuard WiFi solution, WatchGuard has announced that a patch is now available that addresses particular issues for both. Verus highly recommends that you apply these patches to avoid any consequences.

The two primary issues involve the WatchGuard AV engine component of the fireboxes, as well as the Krack WiFi vulnerability that was announced for essentially all WiFi networks last fall.

Currently the patch is available, and Verus considers both of these issues to be critically important. Customers who don’t apply the patch could encounter issues with their AV engines after the March 30 timeframe.

Verus is also available to work with customers who have WiFi systems other than WatchGuard (Cisco, Meraki, or Ruckus) to apply patches for the Krack WiFi vulnerability.

If you would like to have Verus apply the patches for you, please contact your sales representative, email sales@veruscorp.com, or call 763.354.2200 today.
