Business Continuity Plan During Pandemics and Isolation
We want to assure you that we take the health and well-being of our customers and employees very seriously. Like you, we’re closely monitoring the quickly developing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we will practice social distancing. All employees have remote access and remote telephony capabilities. Already more than 50% of our workforce is working from home. Verus is following CDC (Center for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization) recommendations and we are continuously monitoring the situation and reacting accordingly as new information is released.
Verus is positioned to continue working remotely indefinitely. Our data center is healthy and has multiple backup connections. We have multiple connections from our office to the Data Center and to the Internet. Our employees are trained and have the capacity to support all customers remotely. If it is necessary to dispatch a Verus engineer onsite, we will follow all social separation requirements and will contact our customers prior to dispatch and upon arrival to limit any exposures. We will also respect all hygiene recommendations provided by health authorities.
Verus will not dispatch an engineer that is showing any signs of digestive or respiratory illness (fever, cough, or nasal manifestations). Verus will also refuse to dispatch any employees that have traveled recently; and we ask them to isolate after travel, even if they have not visited any high-risk locations.
Verus will not visit domestic residences during this pandemic. We will help home users through remote means.
We are always excited to collaborate with you, listen to your concerns, and help you navigate this new landscape. There are new business and meeting challenges. Verus is fully operable with cloud technologies that can help us all out.
We are all in this together. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our customers and communities as needed.
For more information about COVD-19 and what you can do to keep healthy and safe, visit the Centers for Disease Control at cdc.gov or your local health department’s website.
To your health and wellbeing. We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,
Verus Corporation, Inc.
